This has to be one of my favourite craft books EVER. It is so fascinating to read how a simple lump of clay can be transformed into these little wondrous creatures. Each gnome or fairy model has so much character infused in to their facial features; it will surely make you take a double take. This is more than just a craft book because it entices you in to the magical world of fairies. Maureen Carlson's passion for her hobby is so empowering that you will soon find yourself a fellow fairy addict. The introduction of her book says it all really ''Opening the cover is like answering an invitation to explore a whole new world. Of course the choice is always yours. Once inside the pages, you could choose to close it up again and go your way, but, if you linger awhile, chances are you'll never be the same.'' That sums up this entire book in how it has seized my emotions; the gnomes, fairies are trolls are so enchanting you just want to make your own.
