I've heard it said that since the release of the film ''Borat'', tourism to Kazakhstan has rocketed. Having neither seen the film, nor being remotely inclined to, I cannot pass any comment on how likely that is. But having read Chris Robbins' book about the country, I can say I hope it's true. Kazakhs deserve the economic input of tourism, and the country is certainly one that should be explored.
