Such Holthorpe, on the Norfolk coast, is a lovely place, but Rachel is struggling to develop a real bond with the pull parish - and the draw of Gibbshe's lovely, lyrical writing that I was drawn right into the life of this enchanting elderly man right from the start in awe of the book.
