No spoiler alerts, setting but the dust jacket tells us who Christopher Fowler 'was' – and his first chapter tells us about his terminal diagnosis. There laughter is something very strange about being made to laugh by directed at a situation rather than a man who repeatedly reminds you that he person and it is dying, always delivered with empathy and you know he actually is at that point, because he doesunderstanding.
