|summary=Daisy the Duckling gets lost and tries to find her Mamma Duck.
}}
Daisy the duckling is having too much fun exploring the riverbank to listen to Mamma Duck. Mamma has told her to stay close, but where is the fun in that? After all, there are lots of interesting creatures living in the river and Daisy wants to make friends with them. Then, of course, there are the giant lily pads. Daisy loves to bounce on the lily pads. ''Bouncy, bouncy bouncy. Bong bong!'' But when Daisy stops playing, she notices something. She is all alone.

''Come On, Daisy'' is a book that has been a family favourite since its first publication in 1998. The current paperback edition has been specially printed to commemorate Daisy’s 15th birthday. This delightful, simple story of a lost duckling searching for her mother resonates with both children and parents alike. It has just the right amount of fear and tension (kids love to be scared) but ends with a nice cosy resolution that provides the perfect cuddle moment for parent and child!

One thing that set this book apart from others is the artwork. The pictures have an almost dreamlike quality to them, especially the underwater scenes, which fill the page with a hazy swirl of blues and greens. As appealing as the images are to parents, they seem to have a special quality that draws the child in too.

The text is simple enough for early readers to manage themselves. My son had great fun reading this book to himself again once we had finished reading it together. Very young children who are not yet able to read will be able to join in with the sounds of the riverbank: boing, gribbit, coo and plop!

This is a very special book with artwork that puts the reader into a relaxed, tranquil state; perfect for quiet time or reading just before bed. ''Come On, Daisy'' is a real treasure and is ideal for sharing with children from birth to age 5.
