If you want fairy tales in their original form, then [[My Favourite Fairy Tales by Tony Ross]] is a great choice, and [[Aesop's Fables by Aesop, Fiona Waters and Fulvio Testa]] is also a great compendium. [[Dave by Sue Hendra]] also features illustrations by Liz Pichon, and is hilarious.
