Kevin O'Donnell grew up in New York City. As a teenager, he enjoyed writing short stories and poems. He often drew from his favorite movies, books, and video games for inspiration. In his 20s, he began writing his novel series A Spark in the Ashes. His inspiration for this series came from games like Fallout and Dark Souls, books like The Omega Man, and post-apocalyptic shows like The Walking Dead.
His first novel in the series, The Vital Link, has been released as of October 2023.
Kevin lives with his wife, two children, and dog on Long Island.
