I was born in a small Greek village in western Greece. In 1985 I moved to Athens for studies and have been living there since then with my husband and two riotous kids. I first realized I could write after I had been assigned to create my own short stories as part of a Creative Writing course towards a BA in Literature. I fell in love with the English language and the process of exploring its nuances and the secret paths that would lead me on an exciting journey towards conveying past and present situations and putting together the pieces of existing or imaginary personalities, making them act and talk at my own whim. An MA in Creative Writing followed, the product of which is my first collection of short stories entitled 'Black Greek Coffee', intriguing stories whispered into insatiable ears in dimly-lit kitchens, over a steamy cup of black Greek coffee.
