So many children's non-fiction books miss their target, either being too lightweight and tepid, or too detailed and complicated. It's a hard target to hit, particularly as the book will often be read by a wide range of ages and abilities. Yet again, Tracey Turner has created a fascinating non-fiction book that's suitable for all children, without lacking anything for any of them. Highly recommended.
My thanks to the publishers for sending it to Bookbag. We also have a review of [[The Book of Big Excuses by Tracey Turner]].
[[The Bumper Book of Bravery by Charlie Norton]] is a modern-day Boy's Own annual, which young non-fiction fans will love. [[Bad Kids: the Worst-Behaved Children in History by Tony Robinson]] is also great fun. You could shelve this next to [[Dreadful Fates by Tracey Turner]]. You might also enjoy [[The Popularity Papers by Amy Ignatow]].
