I didn't have much hope for this book - the middle book in a series tends to be filler, and as [[Partials by Dan Wells|Partials]] was so brilliant, I though it was going to be hard to top. I was very wrong. This book is mind-blowing.
If you haven't read the [[Partials by Dan Wells|first book in this series]], then that is a good place to start. Another great dystopian Sci-fi book is [[Glow by Amy Kathleen Ryan]], which has the added advantage of being set in space. If you fancy something a bit different try [[Double Cross (Noughts & Crosses) by Malorie Blackman]], which takes a more realistic approach to the dystopian society genre.
