This is such a pleasing book to read, not just for finding out how the story ends (will anything be able to perk up Pom Pom’s day?) but because it’s a feast for your eyes. The colours are just wonderful and the illustrations a tad old fashioned which had a calming effect on me. Perfect for bedtime! It’s amazing how much emotion can come through cartoon eyes and when Pom Pom realised his error my heart went out to him. Luckily there’s a happy ending – of course there’s a happy ending – and it’s smiles and games all round. Well, almost…
This is a super fun whatever brings you to read it. Maybe you’re having a bad day and want someone to commiserate with. Maybe you just want a fun story of friendship.
