After studying Interior Design at Chelsea College of Art, she spent the next few years working for architects and designers in London, before a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis forced her to give up her career.. At that time there were no drug treatments available for MS, so she started researching nutritional medicine as a possible means of controlling her symptoms Once she had stabilised her condition, she took up writing again, writing articles on health and nutrition and her other passion, family history.
