Frederic Seager is a Canadian historian, now retired from active teaching at the Université de Montréal. His research has been focused primarily on Franco-German relations and on the two World Wars. The present book is derived from an article on allied war aims in 1939-1940, which he published in the Revue d’histoire moderne et contemporaine.
