|summary=Packed full of animals this rhyming picture book will please all the mini zoologists out there!
}}
This little boy loves beasts, all kinds of beasts! Using rhyme, we see all the different kinds of animals that he loves until finally he ends with the one he loves the very best, his own cuddly teddy bear!

I do like Emma Dodd's artwork. She uses such bold, bright pictures that really fill the page and make you smile. Here her lovely illustrations are combined with a rhyming story as a little boy takes us through all the different animals that he loves. There's everything here, from lions and whales and anteaters to dinosaurs skunks and snails! The rhymes work well, and they aren't horribly simplistic and boring, so it's fun to read aloud.

The expressions on all the animals' faces are fun to look at, and it's nice for teeny tots to spend time identifying the different animals and for older ones to enjoy the rhymes more. The colours are vibrant, and the book as a whole works well for both girls and boys. My favourite page is the one for the skunk, with the little boy holding his nose and poor Mr Skunk looking very hurt and upset at being told he's stinky!

It's a nice bedtime story since after all the exciting animals it moves on to the boy's teddy bear and we see them snuggling together in bed, so it winds down nicely to ''a well-loved brown bear. A cosy, snuggle down bear. A cuddle-me-tight bear, A bear who'll always be there'' which leaves you with a nice settled feeling, ready to go to sleep. Perfect for animal-loving toddlers and entertaining enough for those grown ups who'll be reading this over and over to them!
