Mike Strange was born in 1938 and grew up in rural Sussex. Following a varied schooling, blighted by his dyslexia and attendance at a ghastly boarding school, he graduated from London University in 1960 with a MSc in Politics and Sociology. Mike settled in St. Albans where he still lives with his second wife Lisbeth and is regularly visited by his extended family of 5 children and 5 grandchildren. Before taking up his writing career Mike amassed over 50 years of teaching A’ levels at local schools and colleges.

When he is not writing Mike is usually busy throwing pots with Lisbeth in their ceramics studio which they sell in galleries and at craft fairs. He also loves film, theatre, camping, walking and making Meccano models – a childhood hobby to which he is still drawn.
